With a very concentrated ruby red colour, the Niepoort Projectos Omlet Tintoein shows a complex and very noble aroma. Notes of wild fruit, some leather and spices, which are very well integrated in the mineral character. Classic style, multi-layered, very concentrated on the palate, deep, with very silky and fine tannins. Good volume and structure, balanced by its minerality, which is influenced by the character of the old vines and a good acidity. Complex, rich and very long finish. A wine with ageing potential, much of which is obtained through bottle ageing.

Telmo Rodrigues is a very well known Spanish winemaker and producer, with great experience in different wine regions of Spain. His great interest in the Douro region met our desire to seek different solutions in different terroirs; from this partnership the Omlet was born. It comes from older vines (over 60 years old) planted at higher altitudes, with an eastern exposure, and which generally undergo slower and more balanced maturation. The dominant grape varieties are Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, and to a lesser extent Sousão and Alicante Bouschet.

The main idea was to express Telmo's vision of vinification without much extraction, with the aim of obtaining a wine without edges.
