Herdade da Calada - Premium Weingut in Portugals Alentejo Region

The Duke of Lencastre founded the Herdade da Calada in 1854, hidden in the middle of the gentle hills of the Alentejo, romantically surrounded by cork oaks and Australian eucalyptus trees. Over the years much has been renovated and modernised, but the winery has never lost its beauty and elegance and is now one of the most modern and innovative wineries in Portugal, with 35 hectares of vineyards, 110 hectares of olive trees, 60 hectares of cereals and 213 cork oaks and several dams. The Herdade da Calada is a typical winery in the Alentejo, with the mission to create high-quality wines from the typical grape varieties of the region.
