José Maria de Fonseca is one of the most successful family businesses in Portugal's wine industry. With more than two hundred years of history, José Maria de Fonseca distributes 34 wine brands from the five wine regions Setúbal Peninsula, Alentejo, Douro, Dão and Vinho Verde, which are available in more than 70 different countries worldwide. The house's top label is undoubtedly Periquita, famous as Portugal's first marketed red wine from 1850, followed by the Lancers and Alambre Moscatel de Setúbal brands.
