Quinta da Foz - Premium Weingut im Herzen der Douro Region, Portugal

In the heart of the Douro region, where the Pinhão and Douro rivers meet, the Quinta da Foz winery is located in the Cima-Corgo sub-region. The winery was founded in 1876 and is one of the oldest and most emblematic producers in the Douro region. The estate has a total cultivated area of 20 hectares, of which 7 hectares are old vines with a proud age of almost 100 years. The main varieties grown here are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. The wines and port wines of Quinta da Foz belong to the highest quality wines of the Douro Valley. The winery's highly endowed and award-winning portfolio includes Quinta da Foz Tinto, Quinta da Foz Reserva Tinto and Quinta da Foz Grande Reserva Tinto, as well as DA FOZ White Port and DA FOZ Ruby Port. The Quinta's vineyards grow on steep terraces along the banks of the Douro River at an altitude of 120-250 m above sea level in favourable southern and western exposure. Low rainfall, wide temperature ranges and slate soils with a granite content make for complex, fresh and elegant wines of remarkable quality.
