Weingut Quinta do Poeira - Erlesene Weine aus Portugals Douro Region

The Quinta do Poeira winery is located in Portugal in the village of Provesende in the famous Douro wine region. It is here that winemaker Jorge Moreira creates his portfolio of first-class, award-winning Douro wines, including Quinta do Poeira Pó de Poeira Tinto and Quinta do Poeira Dusty Tinto from the classic Sousão, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional grape varieties, on the winery's 9 hectares of vineyards along the Vale do Pinhão. The Quinta do Poeira vineyards are north-facing, which is one of the fundamental factors in the winery's production style. The region's summer temperatures are extremely high, which means that grapes ripen more slowly on north-facing slopes, thus optimally preserving their wonderful aromas, flavours and acidity. The winery itself is designed in a thoroughly minimalist style. Four traditional and temperature-controlled stone barrels and a vertical wine press make up the equipment. In the climate-controlled cellar, equipped with thick slate walls, wonderful wines of authentic regional origin mature here with a lot of time and great care.
