More Information
However, some of the Cape's best red wines also thrive here, especially Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition, the characteristic dessert wines for which the area was originally known (Muscadel, Jerepigo) continue to be produced. The district of Robertson also includes several districts.
Springfield, Danie de Wet, Van Loveren, Excelsior, De Wetshof, Bon Courage, Graham Beck and Wederom are just some of the well-known wineries whose wines you will find in our Robertson range.
The Robertson district is located in the Breede River Valley region and is further divided into the sub-regions of Agterkliphoogte, Bonnievale, Boesmansrivier, Eilandia, Hoopsrivier, Klaasvoogds, Le Chasseur, McGregor and Vinkrivier. All these regions are assigned to the Western Cape geographical super-region.
