Lemberg Cape Blend 2023

The grapes for the Lemberg Cape Blend were harvested in the early and cool morning hours, sorted and upon arrival at the winery they were first subjected separately to a 48-hour cold swelling phase. The Syrah fermented and matured in 5000 l French oak barrels, while Pinotage and Mourvedre, after fermentation in steel tanks, matured in previously filled French barriques of 225 l, 300 l and 500 l. At the end of the 10 month long maturing period, all components were blended and the cuvée matured for another two months in barriques before the wine was bottled.
