AA Badenhorst Family Wines Kalmoesfontein Red Blend 2020

The grapes for the Adi Badenhorst Family Red were already sorted with the utmost care and know-how in the vineyard and transported in small harvest baskets to the winery, where they were immediately cooled down overnight in cooling containers. The next morning the whole grapes were filled into concrete vats or wooden barrels for fermentation, where they were crushed with pure leg strength. The grape material fermented in closed concrete vats spent 6 months on the skin before it was pressed. After the fermentation was completed, the wine matured for 16 months in previously covered oak barrels with a capacity of 4000 l. It was then blended and bottled.
